Before You Begin

Power issues are often caused by adapter or cable problems, not the device itself. Follow this guide step-by-step before contacting support.

Quick Diagnostic Checklist

1

Is the power adapter connected to both the device and wall outlet?

Ensure both connections are secure. Try disconnecting and reconnecting.

2

Is the wall outlet working?

Test with another device like a phone charger. Try a different outlet.

3

Are you using the included 65W adapter?

Third-party adapters must support USB-C PD with 45-65W output. Check adapter specifications.

4

Is the USB-C cable damaged?

Inspect for fraying, kinks, or damage. Try the included cable if using a third-party one.

5

Is there any LED activity at all?

No LED may indicate a hardware issue. Brief flash then off could be power delivery problem.

Power Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • USB-C Power Delivery (PD) adapter
  • 45W minimum, 65W recommended
  • 20V @ 3.25A output capability

Compatible Third-Party Adapters

Most USB-C laptop chargers (MacBook, Dell, Lenovo, etc.) rated 45W+ will work. Check adapter specifications for PD support and wattage.

Note: Phone chargers typically don't provide enough power. Use a laptop charger or the included adapter.

Cable Requirements

The USB-C cable must support Power Delivery and data. Some cheaper cables are charge-only and won't work properly. The included cable supports 100W PD and is recommended.

Factory Reset (Last Resort)

If the device previously worked but now won't boot, a factory reset may help. This resets all settings but preserves downloaded models.

To perform a factory reset:

  1. Disconnect power from the device
  2. Locate the reset button (small hole on the back)
  3. Use a paperclip to press and hold the reset button
  4. While holding, connect power
  5. Continue holding for 10 seconds
  6. Release when LED flashes rapidly
  7. Wait for device to complete reset and boot

After reset, you'll need to reconfigure network settings and change the default password.

Still Not Working?
